Hannah's Socks • warm feet, warm hearts

Big thanks go out today to Jes and everyone at Hartford Hospital! Jes emailed to tell the Hannah's Socks team:

"We had a challenge between the Operating Room and the Emergency Room at Hartford Hospital, Hartford, CT. The Operating Room won the "Golden Sock" trophy this year. We collected a total of 1210 pairs of socks.

"850 pairs were donated to Mercy Housing and Shelter in Hartford and the remaining 360 pairs were donated to Immaculate Conception Shelter in Hartford. We used the Sock Drive Packet and held the contest for the month of January.

"Currently with the wind chill here in New England, the temp is below zero. We are so grateful to all the staff and volunteers that brought in their packages of new socks. And we had so much fun. Hopefully we will do it again next year and see which department gets the Golden Sock award for collecting the most. Thank you Hannah for our inspiration."
