When Co-Founder Doris told her daughter Hannah that we had formed our first Board of Directors, and explained to her what that meant for the cause, Hannah had another one of her simple-but-brilliant ideas:
"Mommy, you should have another one of those, but with kids on it."
So Doris and Hannah worked with parents, teachers and schools in Northwest Ohio to put together an amazing, inspiring group of young ladies and gentlemen ranging from second graders to juniors in high school.
Just like the "adult" board, the students meet every month, follow an agenda, take meeting minutes, and report on and plan activities and strategies. Keep an eye on our email newsletter or home-page blogs for updates on their work!

"I decided to volunteer on the Hannah’s Socks board after seeing all the boxes of socks at the Turners' home. I realized that this organization was providing a much-needed service to the homeless. I knew I wanted to be a part of something that would change so many lives. It makes you feel so great when you donate a pair of socks. It also makes you appreciate things that you take for granted every day."
