Hannah's Socks • warm feet, warm hearts

You're invited! Hannah's Socks is hosting a Family Fun Festival on Sunday, June 6 from 2-4 p.m. at Kingston assisted-living community.

Join us for food and entertainment as we bring smiles to the residents of Kingston:

• Enjoy dancers, singers, performers and oldies music
• Meet children's book illustrator Will Clay, who will be doing caricatures
• Be entertained by Happy the Clown as he performs balloon twisting, face painting, and magic
• Have fun with a cake walk
• Meet Taylor Parks, 2009 Miss Perfect Teen Ohio, who will be making an appearance
• Donate via a 50/50 raffle
• Have tasty root beer floats and slushies
• Bring the family for games for kids of all ages

For admission, please bring a donation of new socks or a financial gift to benefit the Hannah's Socks mission. Kingston is located at 333 East Boundary, Perrysburg, Ohio.

You're invited! Big Sock Drive event tomorrow, Saturday June 5 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Bass Pro Shops at 10000 Bass Pro Blvd. in Rossford, Ohio.

This event is being held in collaboration with Bass Pro Shops, K100 radio personalities Shores and Steele, Hannah's Socks, and Miss Midwest Galaxy 2010 Taylor Parks. Bring your donations of new socks!

Hannah's Socks co-founder Vic Turner and Hannah Turner herself will be stopping by as well.

This is also the start of the Family Summer Camp, held every year at Bass Pro Shops. There are tons of fun workshops to attend and it's a great time to learn about the outdoors. On Saturday, workshops include pet safety, fishing/shooting basics, and archery.

Ellen writes, "I was so moved with your concern and caring for less fortunate people, I've told everyone I know.... I have saved Hannah's Story to some day show my granddaughter and hope she'll be an inspiration like Hannah.... I will once a month go to the store and buy socks to help meet your goal."

Big thanks go out to organizer Rick Martinez and his 2010 Perfect Queens! They collected 447 pairs of socks for Hannah's Socks during their recent pageant weekend in Columbus, Ohio.

We were excited to have some of the 2010 Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia Perfect Jr Teen, Teen and Miss titleholders attend our recent Sock Hop (pictured).
